There was a Tea Party yesterday afternoon on the Headmaster’s Lawn to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Pupils enjoyed the delicious food supplied by our caterers, Holroyd Howe.
Music representing the landmark years of the Queen’s reign was played. The ambiance was joyous and convivial. The Headmaster spoke to everyone present about his and the country’s respect and admiration for the Queen and praised her 70 years of excellent service to the country.
He led the pupils in a loyal toast to the Queen and the ensuing National Anthem was sung with gusto by all those present. It was a lovely respectful way to end a warm day and to pay deserved homage to an incredible Monarch.
